Our professional decorator, Robin Porter-McGuire, will be glad
to help you with the exciting process of colour selections for
cabinets, flooring, bricks, shingles, etc.
If I customize, won't the builder try to "up-sell"
me?
Our goal is for you to be as happy as possible, for as long as
possible. Often we can suggest more than one way to provide the
benefits you want and are pleased when we can offer you less costly
methods of customizing your home.
What floor plans will allow for a walk-out basement?
If your lot has the appropriate slope to permit this type of building,
almost any model or plan can be built with a walk-out basement.
Our lot plans and lot premium lists will show which are suitable
for walk-out basements.
And, if your budget doesn't allow it at this time, our renovation
team will be happy to finish it when the time is right!
What about finishing a couple of bedrooms and
a bathroom in the basement?
We customize a great percentage of the homes we build for our
clients. Basement finishing is just one aspect of that. We can
assist in designing the layout and give you a very competitive
quotation. Please let us help. (By the way, finishing lower-level
space is one of the most financially efficient methods to expand
living space in your home.)
What is the average delay as far as move-in
dates?
No horror stories here. We have a flawless record of meeting our
closing dates. Sometimes we are able to offer a slightly earlier
closing date.

How long will I have to wait to get grass?
We want our developments to be as beautiful as possible. Though
weather has a major impact on the timing of finishing the sod,
rest assured that it will be done as soon as possible.
Can I add upgrades and customize my new home?
Yes, of course. It may be something as simple as moving a window
to accommodate a special piece of furniture, or you may want to
completely redesign your home to suit your dreams.
What about special accessibility concerns?
We offer barrier-free designs including elevators, lifts, wider
hallways, bathroom's with grab bars, and many others.
Are there extra or hidden closing costs when
purchasing a Gregor home?
There are no hidden costs but here are some extras you may not
have thought of:
- Land Transfer Tax is charged on any property sold in Ontario, unless you are a first-time buyer;
- The Tarion Warranty enrollment fee is mandatory in Ontario;
- The Municipal water meter connection fee;
- Legal costs of your lawyer; and
- Moving expenses.
